Celebrating the 2012 Youths of the Year
The Boys & Girls of America Youth of the Year program is designed to promote and recognize outstanding teens’ service to their Club and community, academic performance and contributions to family. One youth is selected to represent his or her local Boys & Girls Club organization and join their counterparts from across the country to enter the National Youth of the Year scholarship program.
Coca-Cola and Ralphs Host Triple Play Street Basketball Tournament
Coca-Cola and Ralphs teamed up to host this year’s Triple Play Street Basketball Tournament at LA Live. They invited more than 500 Club members from the 27 Boys & Girls Clubs in LA County to participate.

At the Clubs, students have a safe, nurturing afterschool environment that is free of distractions with special tutoring services for homework help and learning strategies. These programs give students a competitive advantage in school and encourage them to stay in school and graduate. These same kids go on to better colleges and jobs, greater earnings and more involvement in their communities.
