GAP and Old Navy Support the Youths of the Year
In addition to offering coupons to shoppers who donate to support the L.A. County Alliance, the GAP will match all donations dollar-for-dollar to provide twice as much support for the Youth of the Year scholarships our Clubs award.
The GAP and Old Navy stores encourage community involvement, and since employees will volunteer their time to greet people at the store and encourage donations, the company expects to donate about $36,000 in contributions for the L.A. County 2012 Youth of the Year (and another $36,000 for Clubs outside L.A. County)!
In addition, in early February, they will invite each Club's 2012 Youth of the Year to their stores for a shopping spree!
This will help our Youths of the Year to be prepared for their upcoming interviews and add to their confidence and encourage stage presence at the March 15th Youth of the Year event for L.A. County.
